Malayan Insurance gets strong rating from A.M. Best Co.

In a Philippine Star article dated 17 April 2005, Malayan Insurance, part of the Yuchengco Group of Companies, assures the public that they have got lots of cash. Enough cash, in fact, to merit a strong "B++ (very good), and a stable outlook by A. M. Best Co". If this is so, then why are we PEP Planholders the poor relation in the YGC universe?

Lugi naman tayo...

Just like that! PACIFIC PLANS says they cannot service their accounts anymore! And, they expect us to just accept it?

They are in the business of educational assurance, that is the line of service they chose to give the community, their fellowmen. They designed their corporate identity around such service, and, then, when the going gets rough, when mistakes they have committed hit their faces, they tell us "investors", they cannot service their obligations anymore? Just like that? What happens now to the children? To those families who had big plans for the education of their children, knowing then, that their children are assured to get the best education from the best schools because the tuition fees are assured. What happens now to the children who are sent to the best schools because of the educational plan and are now NOT assured to avail of the same privilege anymore because of financial lack?

PACIFIC PLANS, YOU DESTROYED THE DREAMS OF THE CHILDREN WHO ARE YOUR SCHOLARS! YOU HAVE PUT THE FUTURE OF THE CHILDREN IN GREAT UNCERTAINTY! HOW DARE YOU! HOW MANY LIVES HAVE YOU NOW SUBJECTED TO SUCH ANXIETY? HOW MANY CHILDREN WILL SUFFER BECAUSE OF YOU? START COUNTING!

YOU THREW US OUT OF YOUR PLUSH OFFICES IN BUENDIA, RELOCATED YOUR OFFICE IN NON-BUSINESS AREA, AWAY FROM YOUR OTHER SISTER COMPANIES, SO THAT THE ANGER AND DESPERATION OF YOUR PALNHOLDERS WILL NOT SCANDALIZE THE OTHER COMPANIES SUCH AS GREPALIFE, RCBC, MALAYAN, etc.

AND HOW UNETHICAL ARE YOUR KEY OFFICERS TO ASSUME THE SAME POSITIONS IN LIFETIME, THE NEW COMPANY THAT WAS FORMED TO ABSORB THE "OTHER" PLANS OF PACIFIC. LIFETIME IS THE NEW PACIFIC! YOU SELL PLANS AGAIN, THEN YOU ABANDON YOUR CLIENTS AGAIN THE DAY YOU COMMIT BLUNDERS, THEN FORM ANOTHER COMPANY, CONVENIENTLY. THE YUCHENGCOS CAN EASILY DO THAT! THEY HAVE ALL THE MONEY!

Maybe it is about time that the world should know that the HONORABLE AMBASSADOR AL YUCHENGCO in the head of the YGC. By separating their "bad" eggs, it is obvious that it was premeditated in bad faith. Let us tell our friend in UN, CNN and BBC about the latest massacre done to thousands of Filipino children by snatching away their scholarships. I am wondering why the media has been mum about this? When it was "away ng mga bata" such as the Jaworski-Yap gunfight, it was splattered in all newspapers. Mmmmmm......

I agree...why has the media been so silent about this fiasco. Anyone close to Mareng Winnie, Pareng Oca, Dong Puno, Jessica Soho, Luchi Valdez, etc.? Don't they find this a matter of national interest that none of their shows feature this case. While on topics like "The Bodies at Roxas Blvd" and other showbiz scandals, the News and Current Affairs of the giant networks, ABS-CBN and GMA, spend time, effort and resources to cover such stories. Does this mean that entertainment news are now more important than education and ethics? Or is there some other "REASON"?

What then do the slogans of both GMA and ABS-CBN mean, i.e. GMA's SERBISYONG TOTOO and ABS-CBN's NAGLILINGKOD SA INYO SAAN MAN SA MUNDO)? What service are they talking about? It's all LIP SERVICE!!! How do you expect these news organizations to be of service worldwide when it cannot even give the necessary investigation and exposure to our own national issues like this PPI SCAM!!!

It is very clear that this was already planned well in advance. This is business at its worst, and no amount of explanation can explanation to the poor parents and children who were victimized. The selling pitch back then was, "don't worry it is backed up by the Yuchengcos". I do not think this is known by the Ambassador himself as he won't allow his name to be tarnished. This only reflects the way the children are groping for control of RCBC. If you money there, then pull out.

i just found out that there is a site for pacific planholders! Thank you for the one who thought of this. I am one of the helpless parents who used hard earned money to purchased an exclusive plan from pacific. knowing that good education is essential for our children. now, just when my child is about to enter college, i was so shocked to learn that they will no longer shoulder her tuition fees! What will happen to the education of our children now???? My child was supposed to enroll in ateneo, we have paid for the reservation fee secure in the knowledge that the tuition fees would be paid by pacific now this happened!!! The pain and heart wrenching shock i felt, i know is also being felt by all parents who put their dreams and hope in this pacific plans. After the shock came the questions.
How come i felt as if this is all orchestrated? It smells like connivance from all government agencies involved!! How could makati court just issue an order in so short a time? Why is media so silent? Why is no one doing any investigation on this matter? I feel so helpless!!

We should show our unity! If anyone has media connection, please publish the date of the meeting, i know other planholders would also want to join but do not know where and how. For if only few attended the meeting, then those yuchengco group would be laughing that we are not united when in fact many still do not know about it.

Do you also know that there is a provision in the court ruling stating that those who did not file any action ten (10) days before the hearing, will not be allowed to attend the hearing on May 25? Many people would be going to the hearing expecting they would be able to voice out their opinions there, but that is another tactic, so that only a few would be able to attend. Please see Manila Standard issue of Saturday, April 16. The court order will be issued again on Sat., April 23. It is only very small intentionally so that many people would miss it!

ANYONE WHO HAS MEDIA CONNECTION, PLEASE HELP!!!! WITHOUT MEDIA MAKING NOISE ABOUT THIS, WE WOULD BE FIGHTING A LOSING BATTLE!!!

How could we withdraw what we just paid for? ...and to think that we have made the right decision. Maybe Mr. Integrity (cover page of 2003 magazine on yuchngco's 80th birthday) doesn't know about this; but I'm sure Helen Dee does. I've been raised to believe that parents should always put the highest premium in their children's education - give the best that your money can afford. Education will weigh far more than "gold" or any piece of prime property in the end because no one can steal it or take it away from you. I'd still want to believe that...TILL PACIFIC PLANS "STOLE" AND "TOOK AWAY" MY KIDS' EDUCATION!!!

With the crisis that never seems to end in this country, we had to put off and sacrifice buying a lot of things including a house of our own just so we can secure our kids with education plans that promises to cover the tuition fees of the most exclusive of schools in the country from elementary all the way to college...I remember even saying to my husband - "we'd better opt for the traditional plans even if it's more costly because in the event that something happens to us, the kids education is secure." -- WELL, WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT THIS WOULD EVER HAPPEN TO A COMPANY THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE BACKED PEOPLE WHO OWN ONE OF THE COUNTRY'S BIGGEST BANKS TO DATE?!!!

I've just finished listening to Ted Failon's interview with Pacific's legal counsel...and of course my worst fears have all been confirmed...The tuition support Pacific is offering right now is not enough to pay for my daughter's education for this year. I have barely three more weeks before enrollment to cough out the balance from only-God-knows-where. Now, they tell me it's the last money I'll be getting and have to wait for 2010. ARE THEY CRAAAAAAAZZZZYYYYY? Kids can't stop schooling and wait 5 years to resume!!!

Whoever among you who know what that footnote is under the computation Pacific supplied us with their shocking letter, kindly explain to me...

Look at your EXHIBIT A...

1/ THE AMOUNT WILL BE SUFFICIENT TO FULLY PAY THE NEW FIXED VALUE PLAN. THERE WILL BE NO NEED FOR THE PLANHOLDER TO MAKE ADDITIONAL PAYMENT.

I have a traditional Complete Elementary 7- EXCLUSIVE I, which I am currently availing, a traditional High School - EXCLUSIVE I, a traditional 4 Year College - EXCLUSIVE I!!! The amount that is stated in my exhibit A cannot buy me a new fixed value plan EQUIVALENT (and I tell you, it's NOT EVEN NEAR!) to what I supposedly have -- even for the plans I haven't availed of yet!!!

AND NOW ALL THIS LEGAL COUNSEL CAN SAY IS ...

"I'M SORRY BUT WE'RE ALL VICTIMS HERE!!!"

WHHHHHAAAAAAAAT!!! THEY HAVE THE GALL TO INCLUDE THEMSELVES AS "VICTIMS" WHEN THEIR CHILDREN ARE ALL SECURE AND PROBABLY STUDYING IN THE BEST SCHOOLS ABROAD!!!

SHE ALSO SAID THAT RCBC AND ALL OTHER YUCHENGCO COMPANIES ARE SEPARATE ENTITIES FROM PACIFIC AND THAT THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO LEGAL WAY FOR THESE COMPANIES TO HELP PACIFIC PLANHOLDERS...

I feel so sad...and deceived...and just SOOOOOOOOOOOOO MAAAAAAAADDDDD!

PPI says that they stopped issuing open ended plans since 1992. This was not enough...they should have also recalled plans which their agents bought (hoarded, stockpiled etc.) for investments, which they were selling and transferring all the way to i think 1999 or 2000. I know this for a fact because I bought HS and College plans. My agent told me she knew someone selling an old plan. I was very surprised that both plans were in her name. Of course I am very upset because I paid a premium which went to the agent(owner). And now they are telling us that PPI will only pay contract price plus 7% in 2010????!!!
PPI should have done their homework since they knew what was going to happen. They should have had their actuarians recompute. They should have taken some kind of action then and not now. PPI was irresponsible and their officers did not do their work. THEY KNEW THEIR AGENTS, THEY KNEW WHO BOUGHT FOR INVESTMENT, THEY KNEW THE PLANHOLDERS WHO DID NOT HAVE SCHOLARS. PPI SHOULD HAVE RECALLED ALL THOSE PLANS BEFORE THEY WERE RESOLD AND TRANSFERRED TO US THE END USERS. GRRRRR

WHY DON'T THE YUCHENGCO SELL SOME OF THEIR PROPERTIES TO PAY US!!!!

"PACIFIC PLANS SALES HIT P1.4B IN FIRST SEMESTER"

... "But by yearend, we expect our income to grow by leaps and bounds." Incidentally, it has an P8.7 billion trust fund to service all its existing plan holders.

... "Padiernos said that Pacific Plans operating cost this year would drop further due to retooling of its organization."

... "Operational costs averaged 14.4 percent of gross premium collection last year. This year, the YGC led pre-need company will be trimming it down to 10 percent by yearend. It presently stands at 11.5 percent of gross collections."

I have twins. They are both covered by Pacific Educational Plan. They're now in 4th year high school in a school in Greenhills. Their tution fee is P79,000 each and we only get P35,000 each from their plan, not even enough to cover the first installment. I have to raise funds for both the children's fees.

My goodness, tell me the Yuchengcos are great people!

I bought the plans from elementary to college on the strength of the Yuchengco name, knowing that they are in the financial services business and have been good at it, now my admiration of the man goes down the drain.

I had to secure the education of my twins, knowing that they are "twins" and have to go to school at the same time. I got an exclusive 1 plan as soon as they were born. I painstakingly paid the premiums for 5 years, made a lot of sacrifices while on the paying stage, then now, this is what the Yuchengcos give my children?

All these years I thought I don't have to worry about their education and simply budget for life's other essentials. Now I have to think about it after sacrificing payment for the plans I bought 15 years ago.

Tell me I should take this calmly.

We bought these plans for our 4 kids thinking that this is by far the best investment we have ever made. We coughed out P16,000.00 per month for 5 yrs. to pay for 12 plans sacrificing everything just so their education can be assured of. And now this? Just like that? They don''t have money to pay for their obligations? Whatever happened to our hard earned money which we painstakingly paid every month without fail? Did PPI use that to purchase Mapua? So what now? We will enroll our children in Mapua and use the plans in their school? Will they accept their "own" plans?

I think we should not wait till 2010 to get paid. If they really don't have that much to pay off the 34,000 plan holders, the least they could do is to give us tuition support every year till 2010. All of us plan holders are left with an empty bag. Will the schools accept an empty bag as tuition fee?

What is so laudable about the 7% return on the amount paid when PSBank is offering 8.5% return? Give us the 11.1% your Napocor bonds which will mature on 2010 is earning!!!

dear honorable ambassador yuchengco :

i humbly submit our proposal for a win-win situation wherein you will can also end up a hero for all pacific loyal planholders :

1. pay all availing planholders the balance of the tuition support due us for this year and the succeeding years based on today's tuition fee
2. pay all non-availing plan holders the full tuition support based on the amount that is due them as if they will be availing them this year
3. if you say there is not sufficient money, give us the full payment dated year 2010. for example, for exclusive A, high school, total will be around P400K
4. allow us to now go to rcbc and have the checks discounted

this way, plan holders can use this money to both pay for this year tuition and invest the balance in whatever means they want for the future of their children's education. maybe they will even use this money to buy lifetime. maybe they can use this money to invest back to pep to ensure its survival. maybe with this, they and their children and their children's children will honor your good name.

this is your last chance !

the sad thing about the "business" move of the Yuchengco's was that they did not consider the plan holders, people who made them what they are now. most of these planholders patronise their products (i.e., they bank with RCBC, have malayan insurance and probably even use their investment houses and have kids studying in Mapua) and yet these are the same people that they neglected to consider when they made that move.

This move or business decision, was really thought through, making it pre-meditated which I think should be punished. But then again who will take action against them? The government? I don't think so. It will be up to the plan holders themselves.

I doubt if the government will take action, not with the help that RCBC is provideing them in terms of holding their money for them. Have you ever noticed why these taipans who are also bankers are always included in the business trips of the current and past presidents? The reason being they use the banks to "hold" the money generated from the president's overseas trips. Those pledges and donations by the US, Japan and those other European countries go through their banks. The sad part is only part of this goes to the country...don't even think about the interest it gains or where it goes to. Concrete example is the case of CAP, the owners invested heavily ont he MRT projects, and you expect the government to do something about them?...NOT!!!

The plain and simple fact is, there is nothing wrong with managing your business to gain profit, after all, that is why you are in business, but to make your clients and patrons suffer in the course of realising that goal is downright illegal.

Going back to us planholders, I believe we have contracts in our hands that state that they will pay the tuition fees of the planholders benificiaries. They have broken that contract and I don't see any reason why we shouldn't take legal action.

They expect my mom, who is a single parent mind you, to be able to cough up P92,000 in 2 weeks for my tuition. Plus I have a sister whose tuition reaches P50,000 per term.

And we are only two out of the tens of thousands of students whose futures are now put on the line.

Please, all planholders, let us also educate others and clearly define to them what we are fighting for here: First, the principles and rights behind contractual obligations moreso since this involves not just legal and financial obligations but involves moral and ethical considerations -- the education of our children, the future of our children. Second, we are fighting against the fraudulent and abusive actions of big business where thay throw their political clout / financial weight around and destroy little, helpless individuals, all in the name of Profit and in the guise of good corporate governance. Third, we are fighting against our own malaise and history of passive, sheep-like acceptance or tolerance of such abuse. Please, illuminate others who think that it's alright not to fight since they've already availed for years and are now on their last year. Please explain painstakingly to them that its not about comparing your GCP to the availment amounts you've gotten in the past years and coming to the conclusion that "ok na. kumita na ako." Please emphasize to them that these actions of Pacific are not in light of "being forthright and honest" but rather "being deceitful and coming out with all these initiatives because they've long-planned and strategized all this". Please educate them that nowhere in the business world is "the changing economic and regulatory environment" a valid reason to renege on obligations and discharge liabilities. If ever, that kind of reasoning only confirms the poor, poor management and oversight provided by the Board of Directors, Officers and Senior Management of any company. When we meet tomorrow at St. Paul, let's know what we stand for and why we are there.
BTW, this is TLS.

I also share the pain since my child is enrolled in Pacific Plan. Business is so bad, the only consolation I ever had is that my kid's future in good education is already assured.

Lo and behold when I heard their EVP announced on national tv, that they have seek and gotten a court order to protect them from us! I haven't slept well since that night!

Let's be realistic and step back and take a good look at our situation and its environs. We can easily deduce the following:

1. Yuchengcos' have the right connect! Please try and read the inagural speech of PGMA on the spanking new RCBC tower! She practically called Ambassador Yuchengco- Uncle Al. She (PGMA) also announced to the world that she's very close to the daughters of the taipan! Which includes Mrs. Helen Yuchengco Dee!

2. Legal System in the Philippines stink- This is common knowledge! Breach of contract is a civil case averaging 15 to 20 years- if you're lucky! Then with the item number 1 above- you think we have a chance?

Am not saying we shouldn't try (mind you). But make sure, if ever, we file a case (class suit) we must include the Chairman as a respondent! Use our connections in the tri-media to the max and hit them where it will hurt the most- their name (whatever is left of it).

3. This has been proven effective in the past, but needs full cooperation of everyone! Boycott Yuchengco Group (BYG). If you are a victim of this scam- take action and work as one! convince people to withdraw all their funds and deposits from RCBC! Change their insurance life, cars, buildings to other insurnace firms- not Malayan! Avoid Mapua! Find out and inform fellow victims which companies they (Yuchengo's) owns or has a majority stake so we can avoid them!

All the crying and wailing will be for naught! They may be enjoying that on tv too! It's time for action! Give them a run (bank run prferably) for their money!

Again- don't expect the government to move and protect us! They will be protecting him and his family instead (see item 1 above).

As parents, we'd sacrifice everything for the betterment of the future of our kids through education. Thus a boom in the market for insurance comapanies such as CAP and Pacific Plans, who derives their business from us with the promises of worry free educational plan for our kids.

Whatever their reason is and was- either they can put the blame on uncontrolled rise in educational costs etc., this does not extinguish their obligation to us plan holders. We who gave our trust in them with our hard earned money, just to secure our children's future.

And now with a blink of an eye- they seek for protection with the Makati courts. Who with swiftness froze all payments due us for our kids' up and coming tuition fees.

What are we left with? Are we left with no option thus holding up the proverbial empty bag? How secure are our kids' future with all those highly touted educational plan backed by a group of companies- with sound financial status? Is this a start of a "domino" effect among pre-need firms? Does the failure of one of it's subsidiary affect the other comapnies in this so-called group of companies? What assurance do we have that they won't do the same with their other "group" of companies except from their very own lips. The same lips that gave us the assurance that said educational plan is backed by a "stable" group of companies.

Can we still trust them? Personally, I don't think so!

as so the timing, so we are really caught unaware of what to do??? with enrollment due and all... We should really take extra efforts to stand together to win this cause for our children. Calling our Senators , please help us out ....

i think the judge goes by the name of a certain Barza.
earlier at lunch, i was talking to a lawyer friend of mine and he says that this TRO could set a bad precedent.
If i owned a small business heavily in debt, could i not use this ruling to free me from my obligations for a couple of years just likr PEP? Then i can meantime forego payments to my creditors, meralco, BIR, etc...
am not sure with the specific legal technicalities that PEP used to acquire this TRO, but am i not talking about the same banana. . .
and quite a rottten banana it is!

Maybe you forgot that this country has been named 2nd most corrupt!

Pera-pera lang yan mga tsong and tsang!

You want results? Create a bank run at RCBC! Set a date and make a massive withdrawal! Convince your friends, relatives and coleagues. Better yet, pass it on as a chismiss! It works faster that way!

After RCBC target Malayan!

They screw our kids' future, we screw them!

If you're dreaming of repayment or Pacific honoring their obligations?- wake up! That won't happen as long as Gloria's around! She'll mount anything to protect her Uncle Al and her "sisters (Yuchengco's daughters)"!

I read in Inquirer today that PEP lawyers are quoting section XV wherein 'PLANHOLDER agrees that PACIFIC shall not be liable for any inconvenience, loss, damage or delay that may be sustained by the PLANHOLDER an/or SCHOLAR resulting from fire, earthquake, war or civil disturbance, extraordinary economic upheaval, strikes or any labor disputes, acts of God, government legislation or regulation or such other matter or conditions that are beyond the control of PACIFIC in connection with the implementation of its obligations under the Agreement'.

This provision is on a separate sheet from the original contract agreement which does not contain any signature. In fact, the original agreement also states 'GENERAL PROVISIONS' and no where do you find this section. I hope our lawyer friends out there and judicial courts can check out the original agreement given to plan holders which is duly signed by PACIFIC PLANS (ESPIRIDION GA. HECETA JR.)

If the Yuchengco clan ( I don't distinguish between PEP and YGC.) cannot pay the PEP planholders until 2010, then the children of planholders intending or taking up Engineering or other courses should be enrolled in Mapua starting this school year based on a study now pay later plan with a promissory note that when the planholder gets their money in 2010, then that will also be the time that they will pay Mapua or Malayan the tuition fee plus the 7% annual interest. Fair enough, Yuchengco family?

The money that we pay for the premiums of our Auto Insurance goes directly to the company. they may have a lot of alibis when claiming time comes. Just like what Pacific Plans did. So why trust them???

Beware of the YGC Group of Companies, they are like a predator when it comes to taking IN people's money.

We also have news that RCBC is now experiencing withdrawals and placement preterminations. Sana makapagwithdraw pa kayo.

Prayer for a Plan Holder of Pacific Plans, Inc.

Dear Lord

We want to glorify and give You the honor You rightfully deserved. At the same time, please forgive all our sins. And we thank You for all the blessings You have showered upon us.

Lord, we request that You intervene for us with regard to our problem with the Pacific Plan Inc., We, the parents worked very hard to save for the education of our children. We know our obligations and responsibilities as parents is to give education to our children, that is why, we bought the Pacific Education Plan more than 15 years ago so when the time comes, when we might not be around or healthy enough to work, at least, our children/scholar can count on our Pacific Education Plan, a Yuchengco Group of Companies. We rely solidly on the name of Ambaasador Alfonson Yuchengco, a pillar in the business community, a man of integrity, founder of the Yuchengco Group of Companies when we bought those plans..

Lord, May You grant the people behind the Pacific Plan, Inc the courage to stand up to their commitment as their contract has stipulated, that they guarantees no matter what the cost, no matter what happens, our child is assured of education when we got a plan from them. Please help them realize the legal and moral obligations they have, not only to us, the plan holders but especially to the thirty four thousand of scholars. Please make them realized that their rehab plan, will mean depriving the scholars their basic right which is, Education., which we, parents have secured for them more than 15 years ago. Please help them realize the extent of damages they have caused, the psychological anxieties of the plan holders with their pending plan of rehab with the court. For between NOW and 2010, what will the scholar of the plan holders do? We, the plan holders have no resources as the Yuchengco Group of Companies have. How can one compute for the lost time? How can we buy back the time? Time is immeasurable. Please help the Yuchengco Group of Companies, the pillar in the business community, the role model of the pre-need and as pre-need specialist to know that in this world, leaving behind a Good Name and Legacy is far more important. Please also enlighten the family of Yuchengco especially Ambassador Yuchengco and Helen Y. Dee that the thirty four thousand plan holders had done no wrong to them and should not be blamed or suffered for any of their company shortcomings. Please help them to act fairly and ethically to their plan holders.
.
It is as if a parent have 5 sons. As in this case, 5 products and when they saw that one of the product is not contributing to the growth of the company, they seclude this product and move all the rest of the product to a new company in disguise and later declared that they have liquidity problems and maybe in the end, declared, bankrupt. May the Holy Spirit speaks to them, so do their conscience.

May You grant the judge the wisdom and courage to do what is just and right for us, the plan holders and the scholars of Pacific Plan, Inc. We had done our part painstakingly in securing the education of our children through Pacific Education Plan. Please have mercy on all the plan holders and especially the scholars, for we have no one to turn to especially this crucial and trial times.. Please help the judge to realize that this is not only a fight of the plan holders but the general public too. For this will become a precedent for other company to resort to, once such action is permissible under the law.

May You help the scholars to study well. For the future of this only Christian country in Asia rest on them, the youth. Lord, we also pray for other plan holders of other pre-need firms like CAP who are facing the same problems as us. Please hear our prayers.

This we pray and thank you in your Mighty Name. Lord Jesus. Amen.

why has nobody pinpointed the real reason why the current administration is not lifting a finger on this issue at all?

among political analysts and advisers, it is a known fact that taipans, as a rule, contribute heftily to wanna-bees during electoral contests. and as a rule, they don't put their eggs in just one basket, so to speak.

in the 2004 presidential race, the old man and taipan alfonso yuchengco contributed only, and solely, to GMA's kitty.

so there! this is why AY is as good as being gloria's 'uncle' and his daughters 'her sisters.' it's really a case of "money talks" -- and this situation is an off-shoot of the yuchengcos' payback from the big little lady!!

our senators and congressmen should speed up tackling this issue about the PEP in senate- and congressional committee hearings. that should help bring more media attention to the matter.

while a lot of our politicians may be beholden to gloria, they're not directly beholden to yuchengco. they are, however, beholden to their public -- and the public is awaiting their action!

If you examine the computation of the amount that Pacific will pay in 2010, it might just only be a return of the investment and not a reimbursement of the amount Pacific is supposed to pay the school where the planholder /scholar is enrolled until he graduates or the last semester covered by the education plan, which is a standard element of a pre-need plan package . In other words, the Yuchengcos are making a fool out of their planholders !!!

How can they even sleep at night knowing that they have made a lot of families suffer because of their greediness? Are they not aware of the laws of Physics? For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction? That is karma. So aren’t they afraid of karma?

I thought our country is a democratic country. I never expected that rich families like the Yuchengco’s can just decide what to do with the money they owe to the poor citizens of the country. And these Yuchengco lawyers underestimated the intelligence of the planholders when in fact they are the ones who now look stupid at what they have done. The persons who underestimate others are the ones who overestimate their mental capacity. ( Read as, sila pala ang bobo.) So who is laughing now? Their competitors!!!

My message to...

THE YUCHENGCOS

You shattered the future of our children. how can you say that the children is the hope of the future? especially us, the parents, as we grow older we invest on our hard-earned money for their education. we have nothing for our retirement, just for the sake of our children's future. where's the integrity and dignity you want to preserve? if you know the real meaning of those words, you will fulfill all that is stated in the contract no matter what.

may the Good Lord bless you sll and enlighten your conscience.

TO THE YUNCHENGCO'S LAWYERS

i know you're all bright and intelligent, but please have a heart for the truth. i know lawyers can bend even the strongest steel just for the sake of "money" ; walang pakialam kahit malugmok na ang kapwa, lalo na ang kinabukasan ng mga kabataan. perhaps you are also parents, then as a parent you will do everything and anything for your children. We are not asking or begging for free tuition for our children. we have invested our hard-earned money to pacificplans. we only ask for what is due to us, what is written and stated in the contract is what we're asking for. SO PLEASE, ask you're client to fulfill their obligations to their planholders.

A rejoinder to the blogger who was appealing to the lawyers of Yuchengco....

The ACCRA law office reportedly turned down the rehab plan of the Yuchengco, tht's why YGC approached their present law firm.

What a coincidence that the Judge who granted the TRO in favor of YGC in Makati is a founding father of the said firm!

Have a heart? Don't think they have. They want to make hay while the sun shines! Since most of their senior partners are in various sensitve posts in the Arroyo Government! TSK TSK!

PAKTAY na anG educational plan (trad),

PAKTAY pati opposition to the rehab plan.....

What the Yuchengcos did to Pacific Plans represent how they value their integrity and credibility in the business world. Yuchengco Group of Companies are mainly in the TRUST business. It scares me to think what if RCBC is loaded with non-performing assets like probably an expensive tower in Makati they couldn't get rid off... Will the Yuchengcos do another Pacific Plans for RCBC Bank? Move their profitable bank assets to a newly incorporated "Timelife Bank"? Will they leave all the non performing assets in RCBC? Seek rehabilitation of RCBC at the expense of all its depositor investors? It is chilling just to think of it. I don't want to be caught again in this joke. I learned my lessons with Pacific Plans. You can't fool me no more! Without TRUST Who wants Grepalife? Dare to put your hard earned money in RCBC? Timelife? or Malayan Insurance? Of course, without TRUST in the people behind these companies, who would invest in mere papers? Maybe It's about time for you to unload them all while they still command some value!

Mybe we should list down all the yuchenco group of companies and push for a boycott of their products. There should be integrity in business especially uncle al who was given honor by the jesuit kaya lang nabibili na rin daw ang religion. Kaya ako I beleive we should fight for our rights for the sake of our children and the principle na ang mge manloloko ay dapat di makaligtas. And lastly I believe in divine justice kasi walang lagayan at palakasan dyan the law of karma will prevail kahit taipan ka.

But we were only given on third of the estimate of the partial damage since the lot our house was built was under three names. Why didn't malayan inform us about this before the fire? You mean we get 1 Million if it happened that the entire house burned down? That means we can not have a new house rebuilt! We were thankful the whole house did not burn down.

Evil scheme again? Why did they not charge just a third of the estimated amount if the lot owner does not match

the Yuchengco family is getting broken by the day. I heard Marco Yuchengco Santos is looking for a job in Singapore as a copywriter. Heard he is trying to escape a failed drug deal where the PNP and military men are looking for him. He is also under investigation for secretly ousting his uncle, Tito Yuchengco from YGC so he could maneuver himself to run the group one day. Looks like we can get joints in exchange for our policies. Whats the value of 34,000 joints ? worst of all, he was caught trying to extort money from a Singapore based pinoy via facebook. Unbelievable!
